Gosh it’s been a while since I last posted. We’ve been very busy, especially with our recent trip to the USA.

To cope with all this work we’ve hired some fine help here at Redmayne. Hopefully, I’ll now  find a couple of hours a week to share a few more insights into our craft with you.

I hope you find this short video post interesting, as it looks at the wonderful cloths that are often held by tailoring houses. Many of these are collected over the years and strangely enough we seem to get attached to them. So my advice is, if you are privileged to have a proper old tailoring house nearby, then drop by and have a look what’s on the shelf. You may find a real gem in the form of a vintage bolt of cloth.

Just look what I found….The cloth used for my very first suit. It’s astonishing that it’s still on the shelf with my name on it from nearly 40 years ago….Senior service here I come :0
